NBC's Gadi Schwartz got a firsthand look at some of the sensations that users can feel in virtual worlds when he visited the Future Interfaces Group(opens in new window) (FIG) at Carnegie Mellon University.�Chris Harrison(opens in new window), associate professor in the Human-Computer Interaction Institute(opens in new window) and director of the FIG Lab, and his research team are using airborne ultrasound waves to create feelings on the lips, teeth and tongue all aimed at building a truly immersive virtual reality experience.
